This P/PV case study describes the process Hudson Guild employed to learn more about the disconnected young people in the community it serves, as the steps taken by Hudson Guild may help inform organizations interested in undertaking a similar venture. The first section of the document provides a snapshot of how the project was developed and implemented. Section two uses Hudson Guild's experience to explore some key decisions a community-based organization must make when carrying out this type of project. The appendix includes the survey used and a companion decision-making tool that can be utilized by other organizations interested in undertaking a similar survey effort.
